The highlight of the summer of 2024 was the huge success of the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce Community Appeals Fund Drive, which was from April 1st to July 31st. The goal was to raise $1.8 million from Sioux Falls businesses for the playground at our new site.

Thanks to the hard work of our three campaign chairs – Jason Herrboldt (First Bank & Trust), Dave Rozenboom (First PREMIER Bank), and Jay Soukup (Stifel)—with 30+ individual solicitors—the drive raised $2.2 million! 

Those dollars will build the active space of the main playground. It will be an accessible space in an outdoor courtyard setting, providing safety without fencing. It will include water jet play, accessible swings and slides, an in-ground trampoline, and other fun play options.

Three additional courtyards and a terrace are being further funded by individual donors.
